Ashland Library Packs Weekend and Week-Ahead With Family Programs
The Ashland Public Library carries the news load this Friday, with a pair of family programs Saturday and a busy slate of community events rolling through the end of the month — while town hall issued no new press releases and commercial outlets filed no fresh Ashland stories in this cycle.
COMMUNITY & ARTS
The Ashland Public Library has two programs on tap for Saturday, June 28. Saturday Stories, geared toward families with young children, gives little ones a chance to settle in for storytime at the library. Later that same morning, Family Sports Trivia brings a competitive, fun twist for families looking for something a bit more interactive.
Looking ahead to next week, the library's schedule fills out quickly. LEGO Club for grades K through 3 meets Monday, June 29, alongside the in-person Monday Knit and Crochet Club for crafters of all skill levels. Also on June 29, the library hosts a virtual program, "Celebrating America's 250th: Common Soldier: Uncommon Hero," featuring historian Bruce E. Mowday — a timely tie-in to the nation's approaching semiquincentennial.
Tuesday, June 30 brings Clocktown Rockers, a music-and-movement program for children ages 2 through 5 with a caregiver, as well as a Garden to Kitchen Pizza Making session for grades 1 through 5. Residents can register for all of these through the library's new calendar system; a link on the town homepage directs to the updated registration portal.
