Ashland Launches OpenGov Portal For Permits And Licenses

ASHLAND — The town has rolled out a new online permitting and licensing portal, giving residents and businesses a digital way to apply for and track permits, as several town boards and the public library line up meetings and programs for the week ahead.

Ashland has launched a new License/Permitting Portal called OpenGov, according to a notice posted on the town's website. The system gives residents and business owners a digital option for filing and tracking permit and licensing applications with the town, rather than handling the process solely in person. COMING UP

Several town boards meet in the coming days. The Finance Committee and the Conservation Commission both meet Monday, July 20, the Finance Committee via Zoom and the Conservation Commission in hybrid format. The Library Board of Trustees meets in hybrid format Tuesday, July 21. The Upper Charles Trail Committee and the Planning Board both hold hybrid meetings Thursday, July 23.

The Ashland Public Library has a run of summer programs this week. A family "Flicknic" screening of "GOAT" is set for Friday, July 17, followed Saturday, July 18, by an Elephant & Piggie ice cream party and a VEX IQ Robotics session for kids in grades two through six. The library's online Adult Summer Reading Challenge continues through the weekend.
