STOW — The Zoning Board of Appeals continued a West Acton Road variance hearing to Dec. 7 at 7:30 p.m. Scott Hayes, an engineer for the applicant, told the board the 4.83-acre lot was shaped by 1955 and 1993 plans and is reached by a strip about 40 feet wide. Hayes said the request relies on the new "practical difficulty" standard.
Neighbors Tim Donahue and Robert Flynn raised septic, drainage and hardship questions. Earlier, the board approved the August 19 minutes 4-0 as amended. Members said they would arrange site visits, with no more than two attending each.
