Weston officials preview 26-article warrant ahead of May 4 Town Meeting

WESTON — April 22, 2026 — Weston previews 26-article warrant for May 4 Annual Town Meeting. Town Manager Leon Gauthier and Town Moderator Rip Hastings walked residents through the warrant on Weston Media Center, flagging $3.1 million in free cash for fire station design, a $650,000 two-thirds water main borrowing on Aberdeen Road and Fox Chase Lane, and a 12-article consent agenda that includes roughly $2.3 million for OPEB and $2.56 million in one-time capital purchases. Six Community Preservation Act articles total more than $1.3 million, including $1 million to finish two affordable units at Brook School Apartments and $300,000 for town green tree replanting. A citizen petition seeks a second all-alcohol license for Heirloom restaurant. Article 16, a proposed capital stabilization fund, will be passed over. Hastings warned presenters that "when the red light comes on, I'm going to cut you off."
