Wayland Housing Partnership Names Milburn to Lead Housing Production Plan Review

WAYLAND — July 8, 2026 — Wayland Housing Partnership taps Jean Milburn to represent the committee on its upcoming Housing Production Plan consultant review. Member Rachel Bratt, who has led the committee's housing planning work for roughly two decades, announced she is stepping back from major projects due to health issues, telling the group, "I just can't do it anymore." The partnership voted unanimously to designate Milburn, a Conservation Commission representative, as its point person for evaluating proposals due July 13 to Town Planner Robert; the Barrett Planning Group, Jen Goldson's firm, and Mass Housing Partnership were among roughly a dozen organizations solicited for the work. Member Kathleen Boundy walked the committee through this year's town meeting amendments to Wayland's accessory dwelling unit bylaw — Article 14288 — which passed overwhelmingly and corrected deficiencies flagged by the Attorney General's Office in a July 2025 letter, including deletion of a minimum one-parking-space requirement and a fix to the table of permitted uses by district. On the Good Shepherd affordable housing project, Chair Mary M. Antes reported that construction remains on track for late summer or early fall, though the developer has not yet approached the Wayland Housing Trust for its $150,000 local contribution.
