Waltham council panel ratifies 600 Main Street purchase, leaseback vote

City Council Part 3 · Meeting of August 3, 2026

Waltham council committee ratifies closed-door vote on a 600 Main Street property deal. Coming out of executive session Monday, the committee of the whole unanimously approved a purchase and sale agreement and an attached leaseback agreement for the property, with Council President Logan telling members "there was a motion to approve the purchase and sale agreement and the attached leaseback agreement." No price or lease terms were stated on the open-session record. The item advances automatically to the full City Council, where a roll call vote will be required.

Councilor Harris had briefly moved to adjourn before the outstanding vote was flagged; the meeting ultimately closed at 10:31 p.m. on a motion from Councilor Foster.
