Traffic Commission · Meeting of March 25, 2026

WATERTOWN — The Traffic Commission approved no-parking signs at the Orchard and Lawrence Street intersection. Sergeant Sampson measured 29 feet west and 30 feet east of the intersection with Department of Public Works staff, saving two parking spaces on the west side and one on the east. The commission settled on two signs, one on each side at the 30-foot mark.

A Lawrence Street resident warned, "Somebody's going to get killed." The commission also asked for an updated Coolidge Avenue speed study and endorsed further study of a rapid flashing beacon at Lexington and Bemis Streets, where the city engineer estimated installation within one to two years.
