Tewksbury Conservation Commission Approves 14-Unit Main Street Mixed-Use Development

TEWKSBURY — May 13, 2026 — Tewksbury Conservation Commission unanimously approved a 14-unit mixed-use development at 1325 Main Street and worked through seven other items at its May 13 meeting. Chairman Daniel Ronan and all four fellow members voted 5-0 on every action of the evening, including issuing a notice of intent and land disturbance permit to AJM Construction for a project comprising two seven-unit multifamily buildings and one commercial building — a proposal that had been before the commission since March 18 and received Planning Board approval the Monday before the meeting. The commission also continued a notice of intent for Gene Sullivan's proposed 21,000-square-foot industrial building at 600 Woburn Street to June 24 after Sullivan and Conservation Agent Abigail Mahoney agreed to separately seek DEP clarification on whether a proposed infiltration basin must be set back 50 feet from an adjacent wetland — a comment Sullivan called unprecedented in his career. A Marwick Associates land disturbance project at 0 Merrimac Drive was continued to May 27 after the applicant acknowledged the project must be reclassified from minor to major land disturbance because site slopes exceed 15 percent, triggering a public-hearing requirement.
