Sudbury Rail Trails Committee advances Broad Acres ramp toward Conservation review
Rail Trails Advisory Committee · Meeting of March 4, 2026
Sudbury Rail Trails Advisory Committee advances Broad Acres ramp and preps chamber outreach on wayfinding. Trail coordinator Marsha Sirois told the committee Wednesday that Fasano O'Neill will deliver plans for the ADA-accessible ramp from the Broad Acres Farm parking lot next week, teeing up a Conservation Commission filing. Phase three's 75 percent design has gone to MassDOT, and a Boston MPO reshuffle creates a "slim possibility" that Sudbury's phase 2D and Framingham's phase one could move up by a year.
Chamber President Martha Welsh urged inviting all Sudbury businesses, not just members, to an evening Zoom on wayfinding, followed by a late-spring site walk near the diamond intersection and Route 20. Member Chris Manjai will present roughly 120 slides on the town's rail trails to the Retired Men's Association of MetroWest on March 13. The committee approved February 4 minutes 4-0.
