Sudbury Opens FY 2027 Senior Tax Exemption Applications Ahead of July 4 Holiday

SUDBURY — Qualifying older residents gained a new window to reduce their property tax bills Friday as the town opened applications for the FY 2027 senior tax exemption program, while the Health Department confirmed that mosquito control crews are scheduled to spray part of town next week.

The Sudbury Health Department has announced that the East Middlesex Mosquito Control Project will conduct truck-mounted aerosol spraying in part of Sudbury on Thursday, July 2. Residents who want to avoid exposure during spraying should plan accordingly; the town's notice is posted at sudbury.ma.us/health.

COMMUNITY & ARTS

The Sudbury Senior Center is now operating on its summer schedule through September 30, with modified hours: Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Tuesday 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.; and Friday 9 a.m. to noon. Residents interested in fitness programming should note that registration for the Summer I fitness session opens Monday, June 29 for Sudbury residents and Tuesday, June 30 for non-residents, with classes beginning the week of July 6. The center's weekly Sudbury Eats lunch program continues on Tuesdays at noon — an in-house cooked meal open to all with no monthly limit on visits.
