Snow Street Closure Extends Through September 24

SHERBORN — Snow Street remains closed to through traffic through September 24, one of several notices Town Hall posted this week as fall committee season gets underway and the Sherborn Library launches a new electronics recycling drive.

TOWN HALL

The town's public works notice confirms Snow Street is closed from September 17 through September 24, and residents who use that route should plan alternate paths through the end of the week.

Town Hall also posted a Purple Heart Town Proclamation recognizing local veterans, and issued a spotted lanternfly advisory asking residents to report and report sightings of the invasive insect as the season continues.

SCHOOLS

The Sherborn School Committee is scheduled to meet Tuesday, September 22, according to the town's public meeting calendar.

COMMUNITY & ARTS

The Sherborn Library is running an electronic waste recycling collection from September 15 through October 15. Residents can drop off old electronics during regular library open hours at 4 Sanger Street.

COMING UP

Monday, September 21: the Open Space Committee, Agricultural Commission, and Historical Commission meet, with the Historic District Commission convening alongside the Historical Commission.

Tuesday, September 22: the Charles River Public Health District and the Sherborn School Committee both meet.

Wednesday, September 23: the Cemetery Commission, Energy and Sustainability Committee, and Water Commission are all scheduled to meet.

Friday, September 25: the town is hosting a Farmer's Small Business Roundtable with state Senator Becca Rausch.
