Sewer Commission Approves Jocko Drive ADU Sewer Connection
Sewer Commission · Meeting of April 9, 2026
Tyngsborough Sewer Commission approves ADU sewer hookup, wrestles with a stalled pump station dispute. The board unanimously granted one ERU of capacity for a detached accessory dwelling unit at 5 Jocko Drive, setting a $9,900 connection fee plus a $250 application fee. Attorney Robert Skarron of Tewksbury told the board his client, First Guard Realty Trust, is "asserting that we have rights to get into a pump station of our abutter's property" but can't coordinate a connection, and is weighing intervening in an active Land Court case as a judge nears retirement.
The board agreed to have Chairman Brian J. Martin work with the town's consultant on a preliminary design rather than commit to anything. Separately, the commission voted to fund a $11,670 privilege-fee review for One Ferry Lane and flagged a dispute over an unpaid sewer betterment following the sale of Applewood Plaza on Middlesex Road.
