The following is a compilation of incidents and arrests recorded in the Concord Police Department's official public log for the period July 8–14, 2026. All persons listed are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Domestic violence incidents, sexual assaults, and juvenile matters are excluded per Massachusetts law (G.L. c. 41, section 98F).
Wednesday, July 8, 12:09 a.m. — Motor Vehicle Crash: A motor vehicle struck a deer on Monument Street, leaving bumper debris and a damaged oak tree near a driveway; debris was minor and no hazard was found.
Wednesday, July 8, 9:39 a.m. — Motor Vehicle Crash/Bicycle: A motor vehicle struck a bicyclist near the 6400 block of Main Street; minor injuries were reported and fire personnel cleared with a patient refusal.
Wednesday, July 8, 10:21 a.m. — Motor Vehicle Crash: A minor motor vehicle collision occurred in a parking lot on the 6000 block of Main Street; officers assisted with a paper exchange.
Wednesday, July 8, 11:46 a.m. — Property Surrendered: Shotgun shells were dropped off at police headquarters on Walden Street for destruction.
Wednesday, July 8, 12:44 p.m. — Burglar Alarm: A burglar alarm activated at a residence on the 3600 block of Nashawtuc Road; confirmed accidental.
Wednesday, July 8, 1:18 p.m. — Burglar Alarm: A burglar alarm activated at a residence on the 500 block of Blueberry Lane; exterior checks were secure, cause unknown.
Wednesday, July 8, 3:59 p.m. — Parking Complaint: A large van was reported partially obstructing the roadway on the 4400 block of River Street; the vehicle had a handicapped placard and was passable, and church staff agreed to remove it.
Thursday, July 9, 1:58 a.m. — Burglar Alarm: National Park Police reported a burglar alarm at the Job Brooks House on the 8500 block of Lexington Road; officers responded and the building checked secure.
Thursday, July 9, 1:41 p.m. — Suspicious Activity/Possible Gunshot: A caller reported that someone threw an object at a lockup window at Concord District Court on Walden Street, possibly firing a shot; a be-on-the-lookout was issued for a blue Subaru Forester or small SUV last seen on Walden Street headed inbound. Massachusetts State Police Crime Scene Unit and investigators responded; the District Attorney's office also responded to the scene.
Thursday, July 9, 3:41 p.m. — Motor Vehicle Crash: A minor collision on Laws Brook Road at Hill Street involved a private vehicle and a U.S. Postal Service vehicle; a report was filed.
Thursday, July 9, 6:58 p.m. — Suspicious Activity: An officer was flagged down by a passerby reporting an unattended bag at a bank on the 8900 block of Main Street; a report was filed.
Thursday, July 9, 11:37 p.m. — Burglar Alarm: A burglar alarm activated at a residence on the 10400 block of Indian Spring Road; exterior checks were secure.
Friday, July 10, 10:44 a.m. — Roadway Obstruction: A tree blocked one lane of Strawberry Hill Road at Barretts Mill Road; Department of Public Works responded and cleared the road.
Friday, July 10, 9:34 a.m. — Larceny: A license plate was reported stolen from a vehicle at an auto body shop on the Westgate Park block; a report was filed.
Friday, July 10, 3:27 p.m. — Larceny/Motor Vehicle Break-in: Two motor vehicles on the 900 block of Coburn Hill Road were entered overnight; the center console and glove compartment of one vehicle were searched, and a second vehicle's passenger door was used for entry; a report was filed.
Friday, July 10, 5:28 p.m. — Burglar Alarm: A burglar alarm activated at the Concord Public Library on the 5500 block of Main Street; exterior checks were secure, cause unknown.
Friday, July 10, 6:31 p.m. — Burglar Alarm: A second burglar alarm activation at the Concord Public Library on the 5500 block of Main Street; confirmed accidental.
Saturday, July 11, 12:17 a.m. — Burglar Alarm/Building Search: Multiple alarm signals were received from Concord-Carlisle High School on Walden Street; officers entered the building, a drone was deployed, and the fire department searched the roof. A keyholder responded; the building checked secure and the alarm was reset.
Saturday, July 11, 10:08 a.m. — Disturbance: A male customer caused a disturbance at a convenience store on the 5800 block of Thoreau Street over a disputed return; the customer left without further incident and was advised to return the following day for a refund. A report was filed.
Saturday, July 11, 11:53 a.m. — Motor Vehicle Crash (Hit and Run): A vehicle was struck in a parking lot on Old Road to Nine Acre Corner with no note left; no camera footage was available and a report was filed.
Saturday, July 11, 1:05 p.m. — Larceny: A metal desk lamp was reported stolen from a store on the 5800 block of Walden Street approximately 10 minutes before the call; the suspect was described as an older male with grey hair and a scruffy beard, wearing a purple shirt and blue jeans. Officers checked the area and nearby streets but could not locate the suspect; no cameras were found in the area. A report was filed.
Saturday, July 11, 1:50 p.m. — Parking Enforcement: Five parking citations were issued to vehicles in a no-parking zone near Varick Street.
Saturday, July 11, 11:57 p.m. — Motor Vehicle Crash: A collision on Route 2 westbound near the intersection with Main Street was handled by Massachusetts State Police.
Sunday, July 12, 12:34 a.m. — Arrest: A motor vehicle stop was conducted on Route 2 eastbound near Walden Street; the operator was taken into custody and transported to the station for chemical testing. Sunday, July 12, 9:14 a.m. — Suspicious Activity: A gray 2013 Ford F-150 was reported driving slowly through a neighborhood near Shore Drive and Darton Street; the operator was identified as a construction worker at a nearby address. No issues.
Sunday, July 12, 10:29 a.m. — Traffic/Crowd Management: Reports of dangerous traffic and pedestrian volume near Walden Pond on Walden Street were referred to State Police, Concord Barracks.
Sunday, July 12, 4:36 p.m. — Parking Enforcement: One vehicle was cited on the 10400 block of Hemlock Street during parking enforcement near White Pond.
Sunday, July 12, 4:41 p.m. — Traffic Signal Malfunction: A green traffic light was reported not functioning at Sudbury Road and Thoreau Street.
Monday, July 13, 9:23 a.m. — Reported Vehicle Theft: A resident on the 5500 block of Main Street reported his vehicle stolen; the vehicle was subsequently located.
Monday, July 13, 11:59 a.m. — Civil Matter: A resident on the 10000 block of Nathan Pratt Drive reported a neighbor made a comment in their shared leasing office; officers responded and determined it was a civil matter with no threats made. Both parties agreed to avoid each other.
