Planning Board · Meeting of October 27, 2026

Lincoln's Planning Board approved a permanent driveway gate at 44 Old Winter Street despite neighbor objections. The board voted 5-0 to approve the redesigned gate, set 91 feet from the road, with a condition requiring a dark metal finish, and separately approved 5-0 a granite post engraved with the house number. Neighbor Matthew Anderson Miller said the gate sits "at the highest point" on the street and "is quite visible," while Co-Chair Gary Taylor said the board "can't freeze every neighborhood" once an applicant meets the bylaw.

Resident Justin Hobson told the board construction trucks have passed his children's school bus stop for two years "blatantly disregarding" approved work-hour restrictions, prompting the board to refer enforcement to the building inspector. The board also approved, 5-0, a 1,996-square-foot addition at 49 Stonehedge Road and endorsed a lot-division plan at 83 Lincoln Road. The deer fence surrounding the Plaut property must come down by October 15, 2030.
