Pepperell Recreation Commission reelects David Ganong as chair, tables Town Field master plan push. The board voted 4-0 to keep Ganong as chair for 2026-2027 and 3-0, with Alan Leo abstaining, to reappoint Leo as its Community Preservation Committee representative. Members approved a six-month water-use request for new plantings at the 250th anniversary sitting area after resident Tom Hawkins said crews need "20 to 25 gallons a week" through the plants' first year.

An Eagle Scout's volleyball court project for Town Field has been scrapped for lack of funding and time. Leo relayed resident interest in pickleball courts, saying "we need pickleball courts in this town," while Ganong, who also chairs the town's Capital Improvement Committee, said Pepperell plans to ask fall Town Meeting for $1 million in townwide repairs, including an estimated $150,000 in ADA upgrades for Town Field.
