Pepperell Board of Health Lets Health Agent Sign Invoices to Avoid Late Fees

PEPPERELL — April 8, 2026 — Pepperell Board of Health authorizes health agent to approve invoices, closes spring tobacco inspection cycle. The board voted unanimously Wednesday to allow Health Agent Dylan Levesque to sign off on department invoices before board meetings, a change requested by Interim CFO Chris Correa, who indicated the prior practice of requiring full board approval had resulted in late payment fees. Members approved the arrangement on condition that Levesque present copies of all paid bills at subsequent meetings, and said they would rescind it if it burdened his inspection workload. The board separately approved four bills totaling $1,816.60, including $799 for a new laptop for Minute Clerk Laura Renaud and $670 for Salmon VNA, whose contract renewal cost quote remains outstanding ahead of an approximately July 1 expiration. Levesque reported all 27 spring retail tobacco inspections were completed and entered into state reporting systems, with every establishment passing.
