Pepperell 250th Committee votes to bury time capsule, sets July event food budget

PEPPERELL — May 13, 2026 — Pepperell's 250th Anniversary Committee approved a time capsule to be buried this summer and opened in 50 years, at the town's 300th anniversary. The committee voted unanimously at its May 13 meeting to create the capsule — to be fabricated by a contact identified as Mac Rosa — and to set a 50-year opening term, with formal site approval pending from the Select Board. The body also voted unanimously to approve up to $1,000 for food at Sunday's vintage baseball game at Boutwell Field, with hot dogs and water free to attendees and soda available by donation.
