Raymond D. Sanderson, of Wakefield, formerly of Cardigan, Prince Edward Island, Canada, died Monday, September 21, 2026. He was born and raised on a farm in Cardigan before settling in Wakefield. Visitation was held at McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield, on Monday, September 28, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., with a funeral Mass at St. Joseph Church, 173 Albion St., Wakefield, on Tuesday, September 29, at 11:30 a.m., followed by interment at Forest Glade Cemetery, Wakefield. Margaret F. "Peggy" Cox, 93, of Reading, formerly of Wakefield, died Tuesday, September 22, 2026, following a brief illness. She was raised in the Greenwood section of Wakefield, graduated from Wakefield High School in 1950, and moved to Reading in 1961. She was the sixth of seven children born to the late Frank D. and Margaret S. MacKay and was married to the late William S. "Billy" Cox. She is survived by her children, Nancy Cox Davidge and Ellen Emmons, and was predeceased by her daughter, Mary Ann "Polly" Seguin, and grandchildren Daniel and Amy Seguin. Visiting hours were held at Douglass, Edgerley & Bessom Funeral Home in Reading on Sunday, September 27, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., with a funeral service at Emmanuel Episcopal Church in Wakefield on Monday, September 28, at 11:00 a.m., followed by interment at Lakeside Cemetery, Wakefield.
