Medford Bicycle Advisory Commission adopts 2026 goals as Chair Daniel Nuzelmiller announces he's stepping down. Members unanimously adopted a mission statement and goals list including a multi-year plan for a safe cycling ordinance, calling it "the toughest nut to crack on this list, perhaps." The panel voted to ask the mayor's office to expand membership from nine to 13 and will solicit nominations for a new chair, vice chair and secretary. Commissioner Bernie Meunier pressed for a stalled $600 helmet order first approved last fall, saying "there's no reason Alicia shouldn't be spending this $600 ... as promised." Members also approved Jared Powell to lead a July 9 community ride to Bike to the Sea's Northern Strand "bike kitchen" and confirmed plans to attend the July 30 Farmer's Market Bike Fest.
