Marlborough Personnel Committee Approves ZBA Alternate and New City Collector

MARLBOROUGH — July 14, 2026 — Marlborough Personnel Committee unanimously approves two city appointments. The committee, chaired by Councilor David Doucette and attended by Council President Michael Ossing, voted Tuesday to recommend Lynn Faust as an alternate member of the Zoning Board of Appeals for a two-year term and to approve Erin Ragusa Caton as City Collector and Assistant Finance Director. Faust, who previously served on the ZBA for nearly 20 years and now leads the Metro Community Development Corporation, a Marlborough nonprofit serving roughly 2,500 residents annually, stepped away from the board about 13 years ago. Ragusa Caton has worked in treasurer and collector roles across Massachusetts communities with budgets exceeding $115 million and has been serving in an acting collector capacity in Marlborough for several weeks; her appointment includes one additional week of vacation at the request of Mayor J. Christian Dumas. Both orders were suspended to the City Council's next meeting, expected Monday, July 21.
