LS regional agreement subcommittee to draft policy setting future review cadence
SUDBURY — June 29, 2026 — L-S subcommittee will draft policy and protocol to lock in a future regional-agreement review cycle. The Lincoln-Sudbury Regional Agreement Review Subcommittee voted 5-0 Monday to reelect Ravi Simon as chair and directed Simon and Sudbury Select Board representative Kim Bodner to draft both a short school committee policy setting a recommended review cadence and a companion protocol capturing lessons learned. Sudbury Town Manager Andrew Sheehan confirmed the revised regional agreement, approved earlier this year by both town meetings, has now been signed by the DESE commissioner. Sheehan also reported that both town managers, both town clerks, and town counsel have begun drafting the separate election-procedures MOU referenced in section one, subsection D of the agreement. Bodner argued the policy should be prescriptive about scope — "we weren't trying to scope creep" — focused on technical DESE-compliance language. The draft is expected at an August meeting and will move next to the full school committee's fall workshop.
