Littleton Park & Rec board votes 4-0 to repost coordinator job

Park & Rec Commission · Meeting of July 30, 2026

Littleton Park & Rec Commission votes 4-0 to repost a vacant program coordinator job as the department manages two staffing gaps at once. Commissioners Norm, Rob, Saul and Peter unanimously approved advertising the position, vacated when longtime coordinator Jeff gave notice ahead of an Aug. 7 departure. A town staff member floated creating a "business manager" role to handle payroll and cash operations, saying the department needs someone who understands "the cash operating, the accounting side of it," while leaving day-to-day programming to coordinators.

Staff said the Club afterschool program, which Jeff also ran alongside the summer Camp T program, has already drawn 40 to 50 interested families for the coming year at a $2,750 annual signup rate. The board held off voting to post its still-vacant director position pending a revised job description, and set an in-person retreat for Aug. 13 at 6 p.m. at 36 King Street, agreeing to an audio-only recording for minute-taking rather than a public broadcast.
