Lincoln Library Seeks New Trustee as Construction Disrupts Access

Construction around the Lincoln Public Library continues to affect access to Library Lane and parking, and the library is actively seeking a new trustee as the town moves into summer programming season.

COMMUNITY & ARTS

Ongoing construction near the library is making parking and access to Library Lane more difficult than usual, and the library is asking visitors to plan for extra travel time. Details on the project are available at lincolnbigdig.com.

The library is also looking for its next Board of Trustees member. The board announced an opening for a trustee with a particular interest in serving in that volunteer governance role. Residents interested in applying can find more information on the library's website at lincolnpl.org.

Looking ahead to Friday, June 27, the library has a full evening lined up: an Artist Reception for Maria Kechri opens in the library's gallery, a Craft Supply Swap invites residents to exchange gently used supplies, and a World Cup Introduction in Chinese — a cultural program aimed at middle schoolers — is also scheduled.

The library recently expanded its hotspot lending collection, adding four new devices available for checkout with a library card, a useful option for families heading out for summer travel.

ELSEWHERE IN THE NEWS

No new coverage from Lincoln Patch or The Boston Globe appeared in this cycle. Note: the email intake included a Google Alert digest that surfaced several Sudbury municipal items — mosquito spraying schedules, a Liberty Ledge/Sewataro public input session, and a hospital shuttle story from Patch Sudbury — none of which are Lincoln-specific and are therefore not carried here. Two MaxPreps entries flagged fall Lincoln-Sudbury athletic schedules (soccer September 18, volleyball October 19), but those are placeholder scheduling records with no news value at this time.
