BILLERICA — The Billerica Public Library carried the town's news day, with a Thursday evening talk from a regional food-rescue nonprofit and a weekly mobile career center anchoring the library's summer calendar. No other town-hall, school, or commercial-outlet coverage was available for Billerica today.

COMMUNITY & ARTS

Boston Area Gleaners, a nonprofit that recovers surplus farm crops for food-insecure families, is scheduled to speak at the Billerica Public Library on Thursday, July 16, at 7 p.m. Registration is required through the library.

The Masshire Lowell Mobile Career Center continues its weekly stop in the library's parking lot on Mondays from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., offering job-search assistance to residents.
