Holliston Street Paving Begins June 29 as Town Posts Drinking Water Report
Street crews are set to get to work, the library will close for the Fourth of July weekend, and Holliston Public Schools issued a community update — a light but logistically useful round of news to close out the work week.

Residents who use Washington Street and neighboring roads should plan accordingly: the town announced that summertime street paving projects will begin Sunday, June 29. No further route details were included in the announcement, but the work is expected to run through the summer season.
The town also confirmed there will be no trash delay on Friday, July 3 — collection runs on its normal schedule despite the holiday weekend.
Two other standing items are on the town's public radar. The 2025 Annual Drinking Water Quality Report is now available for residents to review, and the Holliston Climate Action Plan has been posted publicly. Separately, Habitat for Humanity is currently accepting applications for an affordable home in Holliston; interested residents can find details on the town website.
SCHOOLS
Holliston Public Schools posted a community update dated June 26, continuing a steady cadence of superintendent communications as the district moves through the end of the school year. The district is also seeking resident feedback on the finalist for the Assistant Superintendent for Finance and Operations position, signaling that a hiring decision is in progress. The summer newsletter's Superintendent's Corner has also been published, available on the district website at holliston.k12.ma.us.
COMMUNITY & ARTS
Holliston Public Library will be closed Friday, July 3 and Saturday, July 4 in observance of the Independence Day holiday. The library returns to regular hours the following week. Residents can still access digital borrowing through Libby, Hoopla, and Kanopy around the clock during the closure.
