Board of Health · Meeting of October 28, 2026
LITTLETON — The Littleton Board of Health continued a public hearing on a septic variance request for 173 Goldsmith Street to November 18 and pressed for an independent peer review of a sound study tied to a proposed temporary liquefied natural gas facility near Kimball Farms. Chair Kevin Baker and Vice Chair Daniel Kane questioned engineer Richard Harrington of Harrington Associates about five requested local upgrade approvals needed because of an undersized lot, while abutter Sharon Allen Loisel raised concerns about a large silver maple tree near the proposed leaching field. Board liaison Kevin Davis reported that National Grid's submitted noise study modeled sound levels using data from an unrelated site near Route 495 and claimed no state or federal noise regulations applied, a characterization Davis called "a problem." The board also noted that Littleton's Town Meeting rejected a Chapter 40U enforcement article Tuesday night but approved a rodenticide ban.
