Flash Flood Watch Prompts Weather Warnings For Belmont Area

BELMONT — A flash flood watch prompted weather warnings for the region as Belmont library patrons learned a popular summer concert has been pushed back, while town officials continued to field questions about a teacher facing charges.

TOWN HALL

The Belmont Health Department continues to encourage families to schedule back-to-school immunization appointments before the fall term begins, following its announcement earlier in the week. The town's homepage also continues to flag its 2026 Pavement Management Program and an updated yard waste pickup schedule now running monthly through October, both previously announced.

SCHOOLS

Belmont Public Schools' registration for the 2026-2027 school year remains open, per the district's website, though there were no new policy announcements from the district today.

The Belmont Public Library announced that its Kiddie Concert featuring the Classic Groove Band has been postponed to Thursday, August 20, at 6 p.m., according to a News Flash update posted July 29. The delay pushes the popular family event back roughly three weeks from its original date.
