CrossTown Connect Lands $96,690 Grant to Relaunch Regional Transit Programs

DATELINE — LITTLETON

A regional transportation partnership serving Littleton has landed a nearly $97,000 grant, while the town is gearing up for Fourth of July festivities marking the 250th anniversary of the United States — the two brightest notes in an otherwise routine week at Town Hall.

TOWN HALL

CrossTown Connect Transportation Management Association has received a grant of $96,690 to relaunch regional transportation programs serving the Littleton area and surrounding communities, the town announced this week. The infusion of funding is intended to restore and expand commuter-focused services that connect residents to employment and transit options across the region.

The town has also published details on its Littleton July 4, 2026 Celebrations, inviting residents to mark the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States. Additional details are available on the town's official website.

On the financial planning front, the town posted its Massachusetts OPEB Summary Report, highlighting continued progress on managing long-term other post-employment benefit obligations — a signal of the town's ongoing focus on fiscal health.

Road work that began June 22 is continuing, per the town's second update on the project. Residents in affected areas should expect ongoing disruption through the coming week.

The town also reminded residents this week to be aware of solicitors in Littleton, pointing to a standing civic alert with guidance on permitted solicitation activity.
