Concord Appoints Miklosko Interim Public Works Director as Road Work Rolls On

As the July 4 holiday weekend approaches, Concord residents should expect continued road disruptions on several streets through next week and should note that all town libraries will be closed Friday and Saturday, July 3–4.
**TOWN HALL**
Active road work through Thursday, July 3 is affecting Thoreau Court, Thoreau Street, Sudbury Road, Everett Street, Stow Street, and Devens Street, according to the town's latest road work update. A separate intersection project at Sudbury Road and Thoreau Street, which began June 25, may cause additional delays in that corridor — drivers should plan alternate routes.
The Level 1 lawn watering restriction remains in effect, limiting outdoor irrigation to one day per week. The gas-powered leaf-blower ban, in effect since May 31, also continues through the warm-weather season.
Town Manager Kerry Lafleur has appointed Aaron Miklosko as Interim Director of Concord Public Works, following the retirement of Alan Cathcart on June 19. The appointment was noted in a recent personnel announcement from the town.

The Concord Free Public Library is accepting applications for its 2027 Writer-in-Residence Program, with a deadline of July 15.
