SOMERVILLE — The Somerville Licensing Commission confirmed Rosebud restaurant at 381 Summer Street has permanently closed, with its liquor license transferring to landlord Martin Bloom after a lease deal fell through. Owner Babu Koganty told commissioners, "We gave it back to the landlord last month," and Chair Joey Lynch directed City Clerk Fortney Henderson to obtain written confirmation of the transfer. Commissioners also renewed the 2 a.m. license for Gaucho Brazilian Cuisine despite a police report of possible overcapacity and underage serving; Lynch said, "we cannot deny the 2 a.m. unless we adjudicate complaints." Elsewhere, the board approved a capacity increase to 400 for a Junkyard LLC concert at Davis Square Plaza, extended AMC Assembly Row's food-service hours for a December film premiere, and resolved a stalled Joe's Liquors manager change after Attorney Alan Levin explained an ABCC residency-requirement holdup.
All votes were unanimous among the three-member commission.
