WESTFORD — The Conservation Commission ordered owners of 7 Applewood Drive to remove crushed stone and landscape fabric from a wetland buffer. The enforcement order sets a 90-day deadline, extendable by staff, and requires a native seed mix and a replacement for a removed 12-inch oak. The commission also issued orders of conditions for 219 Littleton Road and 35 West Prescott Street, and continued four hearings to June 24, including National Grid's request to replace a winter-work permission requirement with monthly look-aheads.
One member said the commission wanted "the ability to stop the work." Downs, the assistant town engineer, put the Colonial Drive bridge liner at under $300,000, against about $1.6 million for full replacement.
