Carlisle Select Board Seeks Input on Marijuana Delivery Waiver

CARLISLE — Carlisle's Select Board is asking residents to weigh in on whether the town should seek a temporary state waiver opting out of marijuana delivery for two years, according to a News Flash posted Monday on the town's website.

The Select Board's request, posted to the town's News Flash page, asks residents for input on requesting a waiver from the Commonwealth that would let Carlisle opt out of allowing marijuana delivery services within town limits for two years. No hearing date or deadline for comment was specified in the announcement.

Separately, the Community Preservation Committee's FY27 fall grant cycle remains open, with applications due Friday, August 14, at noon. Grant requests will go before voters at the November 16 Special Town Meeting. The town also posted its July municipal newsletter, with monthly town and community news and an open call for community-group submissions.

SCHOOLS

Carlisle Public Schools has set its next School Committee meeting for Wednesday, August 5, at 10 a.m. The district is also pointing families toward summer reading and math practice resources to keep students sharp before the new school year, alongside notes on modified summer hours at the main office and playground-access rules during summer school, which runs through August 7.
