Carlisle Offers Tractor, Four Trucks For Sale In Equipment Surplus

CARLISLE — The Town of Carlisle is looking to offload a tractor and four trucks it no longer needs, the latest in a string of municipal surplus sales this month, according to a News Flash posted Thursday. Carlisle Public Schools, meanwhile, set the date for its next School Committee meeting as the district heads into the final stretch of summer.

TOWN HALL

The Town of Carlisle posted a News Flash Thursday, Aug. 21, announcing that one tractor and four trucks are for sale, no longer needed for municipal use. The listing follows earlier postings offering three generators and three storage tents, also declared surplus, suggesting the town is clearing out aging equipment ahead of the fall.

Town Hall also released the August edition of its Municipal Newsletter, which rounds up town and community news, celebrations and happenings. Officials note that community group submissions are welcome for future editions.

SCHOOLS

Carlisle Public Schools confirmed the Carlisle School Committee will hold its next meeting Wednesday, Aug. 26, at 1 p.m. as a remote session, with a second meeting set for Wednesday, Sept. 16, at 6 p.m.

COMING UP

Carlisle has a cluster of hybrid public meetings on the calendar for the coming week. The Community Preservation Commission meets Monday, Aug. 24. The following day, Tuesday, Aug. 25, brings three meetings at once: the Select Board, a Historical Commission joint session with the Select Board, and a Municipal Facilities Committee joint session with the Select Board. The Carlisle School Committee follows Wednesday, Aug. 26, at 1 p.m., a remote session.
