Carlisle Board of Health Flags Level 3 Critical Drought Status
CARLISLE — The Carlisle Board of Health has flagged a Level 3 – Critical Drought status for the town after state officials designated the Northeast Region, including Carlisle, at that severity level, according to the town's News Flash.

The Massachusetts Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs has classified the Northeast Region, which includes Carlisle, as being in Level 3 – Critical Drought, the Carlisle Board of Health announced. Residents can expect continued messaging from the town on water use as the advisory remains in effect.
Town Hall also renewed its call for volunteers to fill vacancies on various boards and committees, encouraging residents interested in local governance to review the current list of openings on the town website. Meanwhile, the June edition of the Town of Carlisle Municipal Newsletter has been published, offering monthly updates on town and community happenings, with submissions welcomed from local groups for future editions.
Separately, the town reminded residents that Transfer Station permit enforcement remains in effect, with same-day credit or debit transactions available at the Police Station and all other transactions handled by mail; no cash is accepted.
SCHOOLS
Carlisle Public Schools is in the midst of its summer schedule, with Summer School running from July 6 through August 7. During that period, the Main Office is operating on summer hours of 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., with no public restroom access for playground users and no parking allowed in the School Street lot on weekdays between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. The playground remains reserved for student use only during those same weekday hours.
The Carlisle School Committee's next meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, August 5, at 10 a.m. The district has also posted summer learning resources, including summer reading lists and math practice tools for students across grade levels to use over the break.
Joint School Committee activity continues this week as well, with a Climate and Culture Working Group meeting planned with Concord Public Schools counterparts.
