Cambridge council reviews city's current AI use, sets no new policy

Cambridge City Council holds first roundtable on municipal AI use, takes no policy votes. Councilor Simmons called for an equity-focused rollout, including translated civic tools and audited data sets, while Vice Mayor Azeem urged caution on public-facing tools and more staff experimentation internally.

The council voted 5-0, with four members absent, to place the presentation on file and to adjourn.
