Cairo outlines entry plan for Littleton schools
EHS Highlights · Meeting of October 2, 2026
Littleton's new superintendent lays out a listening-first entry plan three months into the job. Dr. Michael Cairo, who started July 1, told Littleton's community access TV he is surveying staff, families and students using five set questions, including "what do you value most about the Littleton Public Schools?" Cairo, a Wilmington native and 2000 Assumption College graduate, previously spent eight years as principal of Ashland's Warren Elementary School before six years as an assistant superintendent.
He said a planned community survey will go to all families and staff within about a week, with a version adapted for high school students. Cairo also addressed the Shaker Lane School building project, calling the vote that funded it "a tremendous amount of support" from across the community, with an update meeting set for October 14 at the Center on Shattuck.
