Belmont School Committee Ratifies Contract With Teachers Union
BELMONT — The Belmont School Committee has approved ratified contracts with the Belmont Education Association, closing out more than 19 months of negotiations, collaboration and mediation, the town announced this week. The agreement settles the district's longest-running round of teacher bargaining in recent memory.

The Belmont Rink remains temporarily closed because of ongoing humidity and environmental-control issues inside the facility, the town said. No reopening date has been announced.
Separately, the town is reminding residents that vote-by-mail applications are open for all 2026 Massachusetts elections, with no excuse required; residents can apply online or download a paper application through the town website.
