Ayer Tax Taking Set for June 30 Noon Deadline at Town Hall

With the fiscal year drawing to a close, Ayer's Collector of Taxes has posted notice that a tax taking is scheduled for Monday, June 30, at noon at Town Hall — the most time-sensitive item on the town's official homepage as residents head into the weekend.

TOWN HALL

The Office of the Collector of Taxes has issued a formal Notice of Tax Taking set for Monday, June 30, 2026, at 12 p.m. at Town Hall. Property owners with outstanding balances should act before that deadline to avoid the consequences of a tax taking, which can affect title to real property. Residents with questions are encouraged to contact the Collector's office at 1 Main Street or call 978-772-8220.

Also current on the town's news page: mandatory water restrictions remain in effect as of May 1, 2026. Residents are reminded to follow those rules through the summer months.
