Ashby Enters Holiday Weekend With No New Municipal Announcements

DATELINE: ASHBY

No major announcements landed from Ashby Town Hall, the schools, or the library in the 24-to-48-hour window ending Saturday morning, June 27 — a genuinely slow news cycle for the small North Middlesex town.

TOWN HALL

The town's most recent public-facing reminders remain in effect heading into the holiday weekend. Residents who need a transfer station permit should note the July 1 deadline to purchase one — the annual permit runs $50 and can be bought through the town's online payment portal or in person. The town is also still seeking a part-time seasonal Cemetery Worker to assist with maintenance of its three cemeteries; interested applicants should contact Barbara Thorpe at tabos@ashbyma.gov or 978-386-2424, ext. 123.

ELSEWHERE IN THE NEWS

No new coverage of Ashby from Patch, MetroWest Daily News, or The Boston Globe appeared in this cycle.
